Fresh off signing a new four-year contract with Hendrick Motorsports, William Byron celebrated by winning a NASCAR Xfinity race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Byron snatched the lead from Justin Allgaier on an overtime restart, driving away with fresher tires. Despite a lack of yellows, Byron felt confident and thrilled to win at his home track. Allgaier, who led 101 laps, finished fourth after staying out on old tires, ultimately losing to Byron, Connor Zilisch, and Nick Sanchez. The wild final stage saw Byron dominating before an unforced pit road error, setting up a dramatic finish with Allgaier making a crucial decision that led to his defeat.
